Natural Language Tagging

Typing is for Spreadsheets

One of the reasons people hate tagging their photos is that there is entirely too much typing going on. It's bad enough that most metadata editors look like spreadsheets, but typing, typos, and tired digits make things decidedly not fun.

QromaTag takes a new approach to tagging photos. Rather than pecking out the whole story with your poor thumbs, QromaTag uses state of the art voice recognition to capture your description and embed it into the image, where it becomes both searchable and viewable.

It's faster and easier than the old way, and you will be surprised at how much time you will save.

Your Photos & Stories

Together Forever

Our stories are written into our photos; literally and figuratively. It used to be that when a photo was printed, someone might write a few things about it on the back, and wherever the photo went the story went with it. Today, it's not that simple. To achieve the same result with digital images requires knowledge of metadata standards and the patience to fill out field after field of information. For those that don't or can't, their photos could be in one place and the story somewhere else. It's time for something new.

QromaTag v2 introduces a new way to tag photos called Natural Language Tagging, and instead of worrying about what to tag and how to tag it, you just describe your own photos your own way.

QromaTag detects important details from the description, including dates, exact locations and even the full names of the people in the photos and automatically generates the key metadata tags.

With the metadata now embedded inside the file, you can find any photo with just a few keystrokes, or pass along a great backstory for future generations. Wherever the photo goes, the story goes with it.

Natural Language Tagging

In this example, the user said "This is my mom and sister at the Eiffel Tower in the spring of 1974." QromaTag automatically created metadata tags for date, place and people.(click to enlarge)

It's Mom & Dad

To You

Natural Language Tagging is an amazingly simple way to create many pieces of metadata from a description, but how natural would it be if you had to say the full names of your mom,dad and other relatives in order to tag them? Not very natural at all.

That's why QromaTag v2 has a new Relationship Manager that make it dead simple to tag the full names of the people that mean the most to you. Simple say something like "This is my mom and dad at Hyde Park in Sydney in the summmer of 1977" and QromaTag will tag that image with the full names of both your parents. Its simple and natural.
