Photo Management Simplified

So easy, it feels like cheating

Photo organization used to be challenging and time consuming, but not anymore. QromaDrop helps you create & maintain a Master Folder for your entire photo library in minutes just by dragging and dropping. Powerful features like file renaming and integration with QromaTag turns your disorganized photos into a full photo library with a logical date based tree structure that makes it easy view, tag and backup all your photos in a snap.

QromaDrop uses your photo's internal photo metadata date to quickly organize your photos into a logical date based structure. It's never been easier to create a perfectly organized photo library.

QromaDrop helps you create a Master Folder, but what exactly is it? Simply put, it's a single folder containing the full resolution masters of all of your photos, placed in a logical date based folder structure. Adding metadata tags for the date, location and people in your photos means that they can be quickly search today, tomorrow and for future generations. Maintaining a Master Folder makes it easy to quickly create backups of your photos to external drives. Cloud services that purport to save your photos for life are in their infancy, yet many of them been either shut down, sold off, or have dubious new privacy policies. A Master Folder of your digital photos that is regularly backed up is the perfect way to future proof your memories to ensure that they live as least as long as our paper photos.

FAQ

... or ask your own.

What happens to my images that don't have a metadata date?

During the copy or move process, these images are detected and moved to an 'Undated' folder on the top level of your Master Folder. You can then use a metadata editor to add them, and then drop them back onto QromaDrop for processing. You can also use the integration with QromaTag, which automatically routes your undated photos to the right location after you have tagged them.

Why should I rename my photos with the date they were taken?

It's often better to store descriptive information about the photo, such as when & where it was taken, and who's in it in the photo metadata rather than the filename. This makes the photo searchable wherever it goes. Using a date based filename gets rid of the default camera generated filename and avoids the possibility of name collision.

Do I have to rename my photos?

Not at all. By default, QromaDrop retains the original filename. You can change to date based filenames in the Settings.

Is there a Windows version?

Not at this time.
