See QromaScan @ RootsTech!

QromaScan RootsTech

I wanted to drop you a quick reminder to let you know that QromaScan will be hosting a booth at this year's RootsTech 2016 (http://www.rootstech.org/?lang=eng) conference in Salt Lake City, running from February 3 through the 7th. If you are attending the show, please stop by and say hello! We will be in booth #1734.

We will have QromaScan Lightboxes for sale at the Exhibit Hall for a special show price of $40. If you are not going to show, but want to take advantage of this deal, head over to the QromaScan Store (http://qroma.net/store.html) and use the coupon code 'RootsTech2016' to get 20% off and free shipping.

QromaScan v1.5 Sneak Peek

We'll be demonstrating some new features of QromaScan 1.5 at the conference, but I also wanted to share some of the details here for those not attending the conference.

With version 1.5, we are introducing a new editor that can be used to edit metadata on a photo by photo basis. It can be used to make corrections to location data, or to correct or add new people tags.

Perhaps the most exciting new feature of the new metadata editor is that it also allows you to attach a new description tag to your photos. Description tags can be used to share some of the backstory of your photos. These can be full sentences you can use to describe what is going on in the photo. They get embedded into the photo metadata and are viewable and searchable wherever you take your images. If you have a moment, take a look at this new feature in action through this 2 minute You Tube video (http://bit.ly/1SEyuDI) .

I'm excited to see some of you at the show!
